Opening MindNode documents and themes
Graphmark opens MindNode documents directly. Choose File > Open and pick the .mindnode file; the map opens in Graphmark, and the original is never changed.
Open a MindNode document
- In Graphmark, choose File > Open and select the document.
- In the Finder, Control-click the document and choose Open With > Graphmark.
Graphmark also opens MindNode documents that a backup or cloud service has packed into a single file with the extension .pkgf. It checks the contents first and declines a .pkgf file that does not hold a mind map.
What comes across
- Every branch and its place in the map.
- Bold, italic, code, strikethrough and links in titles.
- Pictures attached to branches.
- Connections between branches.
Line breaks inside MindNode titles are removed during the import, so each title arrives as one line.
Saving
Graphmark reads MindNode documents but does not write them. When you save with ⌘S, choose Markdown or Graphmark Map and a name and place for the new file. The MindNode document stays as it was.
Import a MindNode theme
- Open the inspector (⌥⌘I) and choose the Theme tab.
- Click Themes Folder… at the bottom and choose Import Theme….
- Select one or more
.mindnodethemeor.mindnodestylefiles.
The imported themes appear in the row of themes, and the last one is applied to the current map. Graphmark scales the text sizes so that body text matches its own, which keeps the proportions between levels that make the theme look the way it does.
Graphmark does not include any MindNode themes itself. Import the ones you own.
